ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The verdict is in, in the second of three cases against a convicted child rapist who spent years working to entertain kids as a magician.
A jury found Neil Stammer not guilty of criminal sexual contact of a minor, kidnapping, bribery of a witness and battery Thursday.
Stammer spent 14 years on the run in Nepal. He was extradited back to Albuquerque to face claims that he raped one boy and molested another.
In December, he was found guilty of raping one boy and molesting another in the ’90s when he ran a magic shop in Nob Hill.
This is the second of three trials that Stammer will face. The third is expected to begin in August.
