A cold front will continue pushing through the state this morning. Temperatures across the northeast plummeted to below freezing Friday afternoon and that cool air will continue to push into southeastern and central New Mexico today. The canyon winds in the metro will slowly back off through this afternoon.
The cool down will be short lived with daytime highs returning to above average early next week as a ridge of high pressure works into the state. A storm could still impact the state toward the middle and latter part of next week, but models are trending this storm to be less of an impact. We’ll continue to keep an eye on it through the weekend.
