Chris’ Saturday Evening Forecast

The canyon wind will be picking up overnight in Albuquerque as we welcome in Spring!  The wind will be gusting as high as 45 mph near the canyons after midnight.   The wind tonight is all thanks to another weak cold front that will reinforce the chilly air in the eastern half of the state.   This front will also knock temperatures down by a few degrees for central New Mexico on Sunday afternoon.

By Monday, high temperatures will be 10-15° above normal.   The abnormally warm temperatures and a storm system that will graze New Mexico to the north on Tuesday will elevate the Fire Danger.   Tuesday looks to be the day with the strongest wind and highest fire danger.

On Wednesday, temperatures will be 10-20° cooler compared to Tuesday!  After the cool down, temperatures look to rebound heading into next weekend.
