Rep. Lujan Grisham asks why accused cop killer wasn’t behind bars sooner

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – U.S. Representative Michelle Lujan Grisham is asking federal authorities why a suspected cop killer wasn’t arrested sooner.

In a letter to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Grisham asks why Davon Lymon, who’s accused of gunning down Albuquerque Police Officer Daniel Webster, wasn’t arrested after he allegedly sold drugs to undercover agents twice. Shortly after that, Lymon shot and killed Officer Webster during a traffic stop.

She then asked a series of questions about the department’s undercover operations. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
