Police search for thief accused of targeting Albuquerque video game stores

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police say they’re looking for a thief suspected of hitting video game stores across the city.

In a new surveillance video from a GameStop off Menaul across the street from Coronado Mall, a man in a red shirt can be seen standing near the counter while an employee steps away.

The video shows him reaching over and grab something from behind the counter before leaving the store.

Police say he walked away with more than $400 worth of games.

The store manager suspects he’s also doing the same thing at other GameStop locations in Albuquerque.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
