Tixs for Kids fundraiser seeing fewer sign-ups for annual trip

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A popular trip for Lobo fans to Las Vegas for the Mountain West Tournament isn’t seeing the numbers they usually do.

Organizers of the Tixs for Kids’ annual fundraiser trip say fans aren’t signing up.

The group is a non-profit aimed towards sending underprivileged kids to places and events they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to enjoy, but organizers say it’s been tough to get takers this year.

They say that could be because of the Lobos’ inconsistent season.

Tix for Kids still needs 15 people to sign up by Wednesday for the trip to even happen.

The trip is from March 8th through March 12th and includes a roundtrip bus ticket and three-night stay at Circus Circus.

Cost of the trip is $300 per person double occupancy or $375 Single Occupants. If you would only want to ride the bus the cost will be $200 per person.
