Public meeting held for improving South Valley’s Second Street Corridor

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Officials held a public meeting for a project aimed at improving the South Valley’s Second Street Corridor.

The plan involves adding two multi-use trails, new sidewalks, and re-aligning the intersection at Second Street and Desert Road.

Improvements are expected to cost just under $800,000 and 85 percent of that would come from federal funding. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
