Josh Walker hoping for a big year in pro baseball

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- The Baltimore Orioles pitchers and catchers report for spring training Thursday.

Former Lobo Pitcher Josh Walker hopes he is throwing for the big club one day. Walker got in work over the weekend playing in the Lobos Alumni game.

In the Orioles organization last season, Walker started in Low-A ball and was later promoted to High-A where he pitched in a trio of games. Walker said he had a lot of success pitching his first full season. He is optimistic about 2016.

“My mindset this year is rolling with the punches, just rolling with the punches. I am going to go in there and expect the worst and hope for the best and just really play hard. I feel like I am a lot more prepared this year than I was last year. Like I said, I have that year of experience under my belt. I kind of know what to expect so I have high hopes for this year.”
