Detective facing charges, accused of harassing a witness

SANTA FE (KRQE) – A Santa Fe police detective is facing charges, accused of harassing a witness who was supposed to testify in a case against a fellow officer.

Sergeant Charles Lujan is accused of verbally threatening a police paralegal after she testified as a witness against Lieutenant Jason Wagner.

Wagner was in trouble for falsifying his time card. He pleaded no contest and resigned earlier this month.

As for Lujan, he’s charged with a misdemeanor for harassment. If convicted, he could face a year in jail.
