Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood to reopen Monday following tragic shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Planned Parenthood is reopening its doors in Colorado Springs after tragedy shut them over three months ago.

Three people were killed November 27, when alleged gunman Robert Lewis Dear opened fire.

Monday the Colorado Springs office will hold a reopening ceremony at 9 a.m.

The number of patients the clinic can treat will be limited for a few months, but the president said the organization wanted to follow through on its promise to reopen as soon as possible.

She added that there will be “robust security.”

Dear is charged with 179 counts, including murder, attempted murder and assault.
