Albuquerque man charged with murder of two women

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It’s been three weeks but now one man is charged with two counts of open murder for crimes at two different scenes.

20-year-old Angel Celis was in court Saturday accused of killing two women on January 20th.

Myisha Garcia was found shot dead in a backyard near Griegos and 9th northwest.

The body of Abril Lozano was found shot dead inside a room at the Studio 6 Motel on Osuna near Jefferson.

Court documents reveal Celis was upset over a stolen backpack.

He’s also in trouble for violating probation, tampering with evidence, and being a felon with a firearm.
