ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)– A group of Albuquerque parents are handing out Valentines today but not for the holiday.
They’re called “Bandelier Parents Opting Out” or BPOO.

With PARCC testing season about to begin these parents spent the afternoon at Bandelier Elementary handing out Valentines that urge parents to opt their kids out of the exam.

The PARCC test has been controversial and sparked protests last year.

The state uses the test to grade teachers and schools.
