FRIDAY: A gorgeous day on tap with high temperatures climbing well above average statewide – expect afternoon highs to top out in the 40s & 50s across southern Colorado and northern NM, 50s & 60s across central NM and 60s & 70s stretched throughout southern and eastern NM. An area of high pressure continues to steer storms clear of the Desert Southwest – expect another full day of sunshine across the area.
SATURDAY: Another day of beautiful, spring-like weather with temperatures topping out in the 50s, 60s and 70s under a mostly sunny sky.
SUNDAY: Temperatures will be slightly cooler to finish the weekend, although even with a cool down, most of us will still see above average afternoon highs.
LATE NEXT WEEK: As our monster high pressure begins to break down, we have a better shot at getting a storm close to the state – but it’s still not a guarantee. At the present moment, a storm that looks to get close to NM by late next week may be just a touch too far north to get any meaningful rain or snow. Unfortunately, given the current track, we’re in for more wind than anything else… we’ll keep you updated if the forecast changes.
