It will be so warm this afternoon that parts of New Mexico will be closing in on Record High Temperatures! Albuquerque could get close to at least tying the record of 70° that was set back in 1918! A strong area of high pressure will keep us dry and warmer than normal into Valentine’s Day weekend! Highs will be closing in on records for Saturday too before a weak, dry cold front drops temperatures by a few degrees on Sunday. This front will kick up the breezes more than anything else for the second half of the weekend. Temperatures will continue to stay warmer than normal through all of next week. It isn’t until maybe next weekend a storm system could impact parts of the region. At this point, it looks like it will only graze northern New Mexico bringing mostly wind and some showers to the north.
