Following injury, Santa Fe man uses robotic suit to walk

Jeremy Romero "RoboCop"

SANTA FE (KRQE) – A Santa Fe man is learning how to walk again with the help of a non-profit and a cool device.

The Santa Fe New Mexican took video of Xavier Prater Horan taking his first steps.

When he was 16, Horan suffered a spinal cord injury.

He was able to purchase the device with the help of the Shoong Foundation.

Horan now wants to start a non-profit to help people with disabilities.

He’s the second man in the state to use the bionic suit. The first was former Corrales police officer Jeremy Romero, also known as “RoboCop.”
