Police: Speed and alcohol were factors in early morning car crash

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police have identified the man involved in a car crash that happened early Tuesday morning as 21-year-old Damien Glissman.

Officers were called to the scene near Juan Tabo and Southern around 2 a.m.

Police say Glissman was speeding southbound when the car jumped the median and crashed into a pole that fell on top of the car.

According to police, Glissman was transported to UNM Hospital. Police report that Glissman has suffered severe brain trauma and is not expected to live.

Police also say that speed and alcohol do appear to be factors.
