NMSU and NNMC play at Santa Ana Star Center

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It could be the first of more to come. The New Mexico State Aggies beat Northern New Mexico College 85 to 54 at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho Monday night. The two teams have meet four previous times in Las Cruces. The Aggies have won all of the meetings.

Seven footer Tanveer Bhullar led the Aggies in scoring with 14 points. NNMC guard Marcus Ellis had 12 points in a losing effort for the Eagles. Pascal Siakam saw limited minutes for the Aggies, scoring only 8 points and pulling down 6 rebounds.

Siakam also found out Monday that he is the WAC Player of the Week for a fifth time. He picked up double double numbers 20 and 21 in a pair of Aggie victories last week.
