ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Four people died in a car crash just outside of Socorro last night.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday on the west frontage road, north of Lemitar.

State police say that seven people were inside a Chevy Tahoe when the driver, 26-year-old Veronica Robles of Albuquerque, lost control. The vehicle then rolled several times.

Police say out of the seven passengers, six were not wearing seatbelts when they were thrown from the car. At least four people died, including a 2-year-old. There was also a 1-year-old inside, but he was taken to the hospital along with two others.

The toddler is reported to be doing fine, but the two others are in critical condition.
