Local museum hosts STEM Day

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A fun event designed to spark interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) is inviting families to join.

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is hosting their Discover STEM Day Saturday, February 6. Form 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. local scientists and engineers will join families and Scouts in hands on activities.

From crafting video game controllers to making ice cream with liquid nitrogen there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

All activities are kid-friendly.

This event is included in the price of regular admission to the museum.

Jennifer Hayden and Rachael Cutrufello from the museum joined KRQE’s This Morning team to demonstrate how Alka-Seltzer can become a tiny rocket. Watch above.
