ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)– University Hospital wants to ease ER wait times by building another hospital.

The 600 million dollar hospital would create 408 new beds.

UNMH officials say funding would come from federal housing authority bonds and internal UNMH funding.

Some patients at UNMH have been turned away because of lack of space, while other ER patients have had to wait up to ten hours for an available bed.
