Pizza 9 raises funds for grieving families

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – News of a car crash taking one life and injuring another prompted one local company to help the families with fundraising.

Pizza 9, a local pizza restaurant, is helping to raise money for funeral costs and hospital bills for University of New Mexico’s Safety Lobo football player, Markel Byrd and his girlfriend, Alexus Ortiz, who were involved in a car accident this past December. Byrd lost his life.
