Miss Albuquerque Scholarship Organization seeks contestants

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An organization that provides young girls and women with scholarships for college has their local competition coming up.

The Miss Albuquerque Scholarship Organization has a vast amount of benefits, including paying tuition for college.

Miss New Mexico 2015, Marissa Livingston, and Miss New Mexico Outstanding Teen 2015, Sasha Butcher, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss how the pageant changed their life for the better and what it can do for others who decide to compete. Watch above.

The Miss Albuquerque Scholarship Organization will be holding it’s next competition on Sunday, January 17 at the African American Performing Arts Center located at 310 San Pedro NE. Although it’s too late to sign up for this competition, there is another being held Saturday, February 27.

Those looking to participate must raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.
