Capitan High School hopes to get attention from One Republic

CAPITAN, N.M. (KRQE)– The 2016 class of Capitan High School is hoping to get the attention of One Republic.

They chose “I lived” as their class song, a song One Republic dedicated to a fan with cystic fibrosis.

The Capitan students say the song has deeper meaning for them. One of the youngest family members of their Tiger family has cystic fibrosis.

Eleck was diagnosed with it when he was six years old; he’s now nine.

The high school seniors hope the video will get One Republic’s attention and they’ll agree to speak at their high school graduation as a gift to Eleck.
