ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There’s a lot more space to move around at Comanche Elementary School in Albuquerque.
Albuquerque Public Schools spent about $4.5 million to expand the kindergarten wing, add technology, an art center and a kitchen.
The principal says this brings a whole new set of opportunities for the kids here.
“The teachers can actually have them working hands-on on any cooking projects or any other craft projects they are working on in an open environment,” said Principal Cheryl Wheeler.
The money also paid for additional administrative offices and a student health center.
