Local tavern dishes up healthy choices for 2016

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – For those looking for that just-around-the-corner tavern with a fun atmosphere, there’s one right here in the Duke City.

Horse and Angel Tavern offers not just friendly faces, but great food and service.

There is no shortage of entertainment with 29 flat screen, high definition televisions and the inviting patio that will surely set the mood for a relaxing lunch, happy hour or dinner.

Enjoy the large menu from finger foods to a hardy dinner, their portions are not for the small and 50 drafts that offer popular brews as well as many local crafts.

Daily specials are offered, such as soup and salad, as well as happy hour specials Monday through Thursday.

Brian Padilla, kitchen manager, joined KRQE’s This Morning Show to share some of the food available at this local tavern that can help you to make healthy dinner choices for 2016. Watch above.

Horse and Angle is located at 5809 Juan Tabo. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. until 12 p.m.
