4 hurt after driver plows into Albuquerque bus stop

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Thursday, police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor when a car plowed into a bus stop in southeast Albuquerque injuring several pedestrians.

Police spokesman Daren DeAguero says the incident happened around 10:35 p.m. Wednesday near Central and San Mateo.

According to officers, a man allegedly hit a bus stop where there four pedestrians. DeAguero says three of them had to be taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening. The fourth suffered scratches and did not require hospitalization.

DeAguero says the driver is being investigated for possibly driving while intoxicated.
