Tennessee man reaches settlement in jail lawsuit

T OR C N.M. (KRQE)– A Tennessee man has reached a $750,000 settlement with a New Mexico county over how he was treated in solitary confinement.

Michael Faziani’s lawsuit said he suffered from bipolar disorder and was denied his meds, and left in a cell at the Sierra County Detention Center for more than a year.

Faziani’s attorney filed a motion for the case to be dismissed after he said the two parties reached a settlement.
