Man saves dog from mountain lion

Cougar - Mountain Lion

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) –A Colorado puppy is back home and safe this morning, after being attacked by a mountain lion last week.

Clint Summers said he was inside his home last Friday, when he heard his dog, Bella, scream. That’s when he rushed to investigate what was going on, and found his little dog in the jaws of the wild cat. Summer said he instinctively rushed in to save his dog, by walking right in front of the mountain lion’s head. He said when he did that the mountain lion dropped Bella and took off.

Bella had to spend three days at the vet, but she’s doing much better this morning. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
