Kristen’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

More rain & snow through midweek... stronger storm over the weekend

WEDNESDAY: Another day of scattered rain and snow showers for western and northern New Mexico. Higher terrain will be favored for snow with another +6″ of snow likely over the higher peaks of the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Valley locations and lower terrain can expect a mix of rain and snow (mostly liquid rain out of the spot showers that pass over the Albuquerque-metro area). Afternoon temperatures will be near or just slightly above average for this time of year in the 30s, 40s and 50s.

THURSDAY: The Northern Mountains will continue to see pop up snow showers through Thursday while the rest of us take a brief break. Relatively quiet for most… other than those pesky winds. Breezy to windy conditions will stick with us through the remainder of the work week – strongest winds likely to blow in and around the high country.
