ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Hundreds of families in need shared a Christmas meal on Monday at the Albuquerque Convention Center, thanks to Joy Junction and its volunteers.
The shelter feeds about 10,000 people every month. On Monday alone, the shelter expected to serve 1,500 meals.
This is just the first of three Christmas holiday meals Joy Junction is hosting.
Another meal will be held Tuesday night at six at Joy Junction.
The third meal will be Joy Junction’s Christmas dinner on Friday at 2 p.m.
