THURSDAY: A frigid start to the day with morning temperatures well below the freezing mark in most areas. Afternoon temperatures will be warmer… but not by much. Expect high temperatures to top out in the 20s and 30s over northern and central NM / 30s and 40s over southern NM. A mostly to partly sunny sky will blanket the state with no significant rain or snow chances to mention.
FRIDAY: A much warmer day statewide as high pressure builds over the area. Most of us will jump 5-15 degrees – leaving the western half of the state in the 40s and 50s while the Eastern Plains climb back into the 60s. Another full day of sunshine is on tap.
WEEKEND: A relatively quiet weekend with only a weak storm clipping the far northern portion of the state. Increasing winds and a slight chance for snow is all we can look forward to with this next storm. Most of central and southern NM can expect a couple more days of sunshine and temperatures near (or just above average).
