Albuquerque Police: Woman injured in drive-by shooting

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are investigating a possible drive-by shooting in southeast Albuquerque.

Police say it happened a little after 4:00 Tuesday morning, near Gibson and San Mateo. When officers arrived they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her calf.

She was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay. It’s unclear if the victim was an intended target or if this was just a random drive-by.

So far no arrests have been made. The investigation is still ongoing, while detectives work to find out more information.
