ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police were on the scene of a fatal shooting in southwest Albuquerque Friday night.

Officers say it happened on the 1100 block of Blazrick Street SW.

Upon arrival, officers found a man giving CPR to another man. They say the man may have been shot in the face. He was taken to UNM Hospital but died from his injuries.

According to police, a homeowner on one block north of Shone Street NW reported a person knocking at their door and said they were in need of help that same night. The person knocking was no longer there when officers arrived, but officers did find evidence appearing to be connected to the shooting on Blazrick.
