ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Holly Holm answered questions from fans Friday.

The audience offered Holm congratulations and had questions about her future plans.

Many were interested in Holm’s new connections. Back in November, Holm met Jay Z and Beyonce.

“I met Jay Z and he says this is my wife and I say… oh hi what is your name? That is what I do when I meet someone’s wife. As I am shaking her hand I am thinking why did I just say that.” Holm clearly knew who Beyonce was and apologized. Beyonce told her not to worry. It is just one night in the life of Holly Holm.

Now, people wanted to know when Holm would meet comedian Amy Schumer. Holm replied that they befriended one another on social media and she hopes the two meet in person in the near future.

One man asked how Holm felt about the impact her win would have on Ronda Rousey’s fans. Holm was all smiles and said she hopes her win inspires people to believe in themselves despite doubters.

New Mexico residents were among the fans in the stands. An Albuquerque woman said, “You make me proud to be from New Mexico.”  Holm continuously has thanked New Mexico for its support and Friday was no different. She said, “Albuquerque is insane. To have that much love and support is awesome. I can’t put it into words…”

Another local asked if Holm would every fight in Albuquerque. Holm replied, “It would be awesome, but wherever they tell me to fight, I’m going.”
