A mix of rain, snow and ice is still falling in parts of the Eastern Plains while the strong, cold wind out of the east continues in Albuquerque. Temperatures in the metro have tumbled down to near freezing tonight after starting out in the upper 40s! Travel will remain a concern in eastern New Mexico with freezing fog developing and the chance for more rain, snow and ice. The showers in the east will be coming to an end by Saturday morning with some drier air working in for the start of the weekend. By Sunday, another disturbance could bring more rain and snow to far northeastern New Mexico while the rest of the state starts to dry out and temperatures will be recovering back to more seasonable highs.
