ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Since her UFC 193 defeat of Ronda Rousey Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm’s life has become somewhat of a hectic tornado.
“I knew I would be more recognized after the fight,” said Holm. “I didn’t think that it would be like zero to 100.” Holm has been on a media blitz, giving radio interviews and appearing on national television shows all over the country.
Holm describes it best.
“It’s a crazy pace and it’s a crazy schedule, fast pace, fast pace, run here, run there, going from one place to the next and while you are in the car you are doing a phone interview on your way to the next media thing that you are doing,” Holm said.
It’s a grueling road to travel but one sprinkled with celebrity meetings along the way. “We got to meet Jamie Foxx,” said Holm. “He is like he is when he acts.”
Media obligations have kept Holm on the road for an extended period. She has been away from home since heading to Melbourne, Australia a week before her victory over Ronda Rousey.
When talking about returning to Albuquerque Holm said, “I am ready to just have a couple of days at home you know… maybe just cook in my kitchen.”
