Festival highlights storytelling and literature

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – This December, Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers and Storytellers will host Returning the Gift 2015, the Native and Indigenous Storytelling and Literary Festival. The event takes place Dec 3rd – 5th at varying venues in Albuquerque. This three day festival is jam-packed with workshops, lectures, talks, performances and more. Themes and styles of the literary workshops and lectures vary. An outstanding line up of presenters and facilitators includes scholars, writers, performance poets, community activists, storytellers and playwrights. Beginning in 1992, Returning the Gift has been the annual premier event for Native and Indigenous writers and storytellers from around the country to gather and share works and words.
