AlbuKRQECares Food Drive collecting donations

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The AlbuKRQE Cares Food for Kids campaign just kicked off on November 14. Happening now through December 18th we want your help in raising food donations for those in need in the community. KRQE has joined Albertson’s and the Storehouse in collecting non-perishable items. The effort this holiday season is especially fighting childhood hunger.  You can help by going to any Albertson’s location and purchasing items to donate, purchase a pre-made bag, or give a monetary gift at the register to help. We prefer canned soups and stews, proteins like canned fish, meat, or peanut butter, and baby foods. You can also register to donate by visiting www.TheStorehouseABQ.org.

The Storehouse will distribute the food from this donation through their main location in Albuquerque (on Broadway, just south of Central). The Storehouse supports over 75,000 people, about 1/3 of whom are children, so they can use every bit of food that can be contributed.
