State Police: 3 confirmed dead in plane crash near Tijeras

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – State Police says the wreckage of a plane that disappeared from radar near Albuquerque Monday has been found.

The wreckage was found near Tijeras near the Sandia Crest Ski Area. Officials say they are working to rescue any survivors.

There were three passengers on the plane, all from Texas. State Police say they were all pronounced dead.

The plane went missing around 1 p.m. Officials say the missing Cessna 182 was enroute to Las Vegas, Nevada from Wichita Falls, Texas.

State Police say search and rescue crews and an Air Force helicopter are searching for the missing plane.

The plane is registered to Moore Aviation in Wichita Falls.
