New Mexico man with extensive criminal past arrested after high speed chase

SANTA FE (KRQE) – State Police say a man with an extensive criminal past was arrested last week after leading police on a 60-mile pursuit that began in Sandoval County and ended in Pecos.

Daniel Orndoff, 27, was arrested Wednesday November 11th after leading officers on a high speed chase on I-25 after an officer tried to pull him over for a traffic stop. State Police say Orndoff was driving a stolen vehicle and hitting speeds of 94 miles-per-hour.

Orndoff has quite the criminal past with a criminal record of property crimes, motor vehicle theft and drug charges. After last week’s pursuit he is facing new charges of Receiving / Transferring a Stolen Vehicle, Aggravated Fleeing, Aggravated DWI, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License is Revoked and Speeding.

State Police say Orndoff was booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center.
