Mountain West honors pair of Lobo football players

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Mountain West honored a pair of Lobo football players after their monumental victory over powerhouse Boise State this past weekend. Lobo senior kicker Zack Rogers averaged over 40 yards on 8 punts. He also kicked a field goal and was 4 for 4 on extra points. He is the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week.

Lobo senior Linebacker Ryan Langford is the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week. Langford had 8 tackles, a half sack, fumble recovery and interception against Boise State.

“Everything that I did was all thanks to my teammates, my coaches. They put me in the position,” said Langford. “They set me up to succeed.”

The 6-4 Lobos are bowl eligible and two wins away from a Mountain Division Championship.
