This has prompted Winter Storm Warnings for the San Juans in southwest Colorado and our Northern Mountains. The San Juans could get 12+” of snow while New Mexico’s Northern Mountains will get 6-12″. Winter Weather Advisories to 1-4″ are now up for portions of western New Mexico. The best shot for snow will be in western and northern New Mexico while the rest of will see mostly rain with snow mixed in with rain at time especially late Monday into early Tuesday. Along with the rain/snow will come strong gusty winds. Winds along the central mountain chain and into the eastern plains will be 45-50+ mph. By Tuesday, breezy to windy conditions will continue with temperatures 10°-15° colder. We dry out and temperatures will rebound back to seasonable highs by the end of the week.
