Discovery Festival makes STEM fun for youth

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Discovery Festival is a community initiative focused on acquainting local youth with the STEM professions. STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Many local youth have an aptitude in these fields but have not yet discovered their talents.

Companies like Ideum, Intel, Virgin Galactic, Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque, will bring displays, demonstrations, and activities for hands-on experience. This event is free for the entire family. Friday, November 13th is school and community organization day. There will be over 1,000 students joining to learn more about the STEM careers that are available to them. Saturday, November 14th is community day. It will be at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
