Harvest Festival at the Fragrant Leaf Tea Boutique

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Love tea? Love fall? Well you’re in luck.

The Fragrant Leaf Tea Boutique will host a 3-course afternoon tea service featuring the flavors of Autumn on Sunday, November 15th. Food will be catered by Chez Axel. Tea will be provided solely by The Fragrant Leaf Tea Boutique. Attendance is by advance reservation only – reservation deadline is Friday, November 13th.

The Fragrant Leaf hosts monthly teas like this, all of them with different themes. November’s harvest features apples, pumpkins, maple, pinon nuts from New Mexico and warm spices. Their menu includes savories such as a Ham, Cheddar & Apple Tea Sandwich and a Red Pepper & Walnut Canape. For the sweet tooth, they will have a Vanilla Bean Scone with Spiced Pear Compote, Pinon Nut Shortbread and a Pumpkin Spice Cake among other treats.

For the fall days ahead, they recommend oolong teas, particularly the darker styles such as their Magnolia Blossom. They go well with food and also are good for digestion. Chai teas pair well with fall flavors as well.
