T-shirt sale raises more than $10,000 for Officer Webster’s family

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) –  T-shirts honoring slain APD Officer Daniel Webster have been flying off the shelves since New Mexico Look stores started selling them last weekend.

“A lot of our families are police officers, law enforcement, paramedics and we know first-hand what they go through,” said Zia Graphics Art Director Sarah Baca.

The design was a collaboration between Zia Graphics, the Albuquerque Police Officers Association and Pink Behind the Blue, a women’s organization working to support law enforcement.

Zia Graphics says they sat down with Officer Webster’s three daughters to design the shirt, adding personal touches, like his APD badge number, the logo of the paratrooper regiment he served with in the army and the Warriors poem.

Baca said, “We wanted it to be very personal to him, as well as something that everyone who wanted to support all police officers would want to have as well.”

Zia Graphics donated the shirts and printing, meaning every penny from the sale is going to Officer Webster’s family. Adult shirts are $20, youth sizes are $15. So far the sale has brought in over $10,000.

You can buy a shirt here or at either New Mexico Look location, 2324 Central SE, next to Frontier or Uptown at 6611 Menaul NE across from Coronado Center.
