ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A man accused of shooting at Albuquerque Police Officers pleaded guilty to carjacking and firearm charges on Friday.

21-year-old Justin Brouillette was arrested in July after fleeing from officers during a traffic stop. When police attempted to pull him over, he shot at the officers and then drove off, crashing into another vehicle. He then attempted to carjack the owner of that car.

When APD officers got to the area, Brouillette allegedly fled on foot after shooting at officers a second time.

He will serve 11 to 13 years in prison followed by a term of supervised released. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
