ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The suspect arrested for killing a man and dumping his body pleaded guilty Friday. Police say Danny Trujillo was one of two men who shot and killed Eloi Leyba last year.

Leyba’s body was found on the road to the Sandia Crest. According to a criminal complaint, the murder was sparked because of a fight over Leyba’s ex-girlfriend.

In court Friday, Trujillo pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder and tampering with evidence. He is facing five to 15 year sentence.

At this time there has been no word on when he’ll be sentenced.
