Tim Cass leaving Lobos for USTA job

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – University of New Mexico Athletics Chief Operating Officer, Tim Cass, is leaving after a job to become General Manager at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. The USTA new state of the art facility will be completed by late 2016 and feature more than 100 tennis courts. Cass will be in charge of running the place.

He has spent 23 years at UNM as an All American tennis player, coach and administrator.

“This was a very hard decision and something we put a lot of tremendous thought into,” said Cass. “We believe it’s the right decision. It’s a little bit of a leap of faith for anybody when they move at this stage. We are looking forward to that challenge.”
