Mayor Berry speaks on recent violence, community’s response

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque has seen a rough few months. Even more, we’ve seen a pretty terrible last few weeks. With the recent surge of violence and tragic deaths, it should be hard as a community to keep our heads up and move forward. Not Albuquerque though. Mayor Berry shared with us his gratitude towards Albuquerque and the community in its ability to show support to those who need it most right now, and ultimately stick together in light of such glum circumstances.

Berry also addresses that while we have seen some heinous crimes in recent months, Albuquerque is still looking at its lowest crime rates in over a decade. So with that, let’s continue that trend. Let’s continue to not stand for such unnecessary violence and those who perpetuate it.
