ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A powerful fall storm is spinning over Arizona heading for New Mexico. It will take the storm another 24 hours to get into the state. So, look for widespread showers and thunderstorms again on Wednesday as the system approaches. The east side of the state will see the heaviest rain with flooding possible. Meanwhile, here in the metro area will pick up storms from time to time. Those storms could pack heavy rain.
As the storm enters the state Wednesday night, cold air will move in with it and that will allow for mountain snow. Areas across the northern mountains could pick up 6+ inches of snow by Thursday morning. As the storm exits on Thursday drier moves in for the weekend.
